The main clearing in the Riverclan camp is wide and smooth. Made up of mostly sand and pebbles. Aside from the two streams surrounding the camp on all sides, nothing but the reed beds are there to prevent attack. After all which cats would be crazy enough to swim across the two bodies of water for an attack? There is no specific entrance to camp because the reeds easily bend aside as a cat passes through them, and one can find the well-stocked freshkill pile just to the front of the Rain Boulder.

Near the center of the sandy camp is a large boulder worn smooth by years of floods. Bits of pond sludge dot its surface, while a few stray branches of driftwood are lodged near its base. This is known as the Rain Boulder where RiverClan's leader makes all announcements such as Apprenticeship, Naming Ceremonies, all patrol parties and the like. No one except the Clan leader is allowed onto the Rain Boulder.

Within the camp on the northeast end is a secluded reed bed surrounded by prickly thistles. From the opening near the left side, a cat can enter the reeds to find the RiverClan leader's den. Slightly smaller than all the other leader's dens it is never the less quite comfortable and warm even on the rainiest nights. In the middle is a soft moss bed where the tired leader can rest until the sun comes up in the morning. This is where the leader sleeps but also where they hold council.

Under a stinging nettle bush on the other side of camp is where RiverClan's warrior den is located. The sturdy branches and sharp thorns protect against attacks from any enemy and also keep out the elements. Moss beds are abundant here so that each cat can find his own nest for the night and not disturb anyone else.

Having taken over an old fox warren for their own purposes, RiverClan cats now use it as their apprentice den. Set a little ways to the left of the Rain Boulder it has two separate chambers lined with moss for sleeping areas, as well as a secret exit that comes up between some reeds near the riverbank. Within each chamber are thick moss beds for sleeping, seeing as the floor is a bit rocky and uncomfortable.

RiverClan elders have made their den within an overhanging set of bushes growing next to a large, smooth rock. The space between these two objects is roomy enough for quite a few beds of moss which the old ones are free to use. A covering of lichens hides the entrance from view, but besides this the only protection the den receives is from the weather. It is virtually defenseless against an outsiders attack.

Built beneath the branches of a nettle bush RiverClan's nursery protects against both an attack and the elements. Only the softest, most comfortable reeds ands ferns are used as bedding for nests, while the medicine cat's den is only a few fox-lengths away in case of emergency. There is plenty of room under the sheltering leaves and branches as well so that each queen and her family can rest easy.
