 SOOTMASK OF THUNDERCLAN NAME sootmask NAME MEANINGS soot for his black points and mask for the mask-like pattern on his face AGE twenty-seven moons GENDER male SEXUALITY heterosexual RANK warrior CLAN thunderclan PHYSICAL APPEARANCE A CREAM TOM WITH BLACK-BROWN POINTS AND PALE BLUE EYES. Sootmask has a well-muscled build. He has a broad chest and shoulders, strong back legs that carry more muscle than his front, and a thick, though not fluffy, dark brown tail. The warrior is meant for fighting, more specifically for long battles because of his stamina and strength. He isn't that fast, but his back legs can propel him to far distances, so he is skilled when it comes to tree-climbing. Short cream fur covers the tom, thickening only when he develops his winter coat. The color grows darker and darker until it's almost black around his face, lighter around his eyes and cheeks but darker at his nose bridge and muzzle. This forms the mask that gives him his name. Soot's paws are dipped in the same inky color, and his tail and ears completely. His nose is a leathery and obsidian, blending into the fur around his muzzle. Finally, Sootmask's eyes are a pale blue, like the sky on a cloudy day. They are round, the pupils' size depending on the amount of lighting in the area he is in. PERSONALITY FLIRTATIOUS, OUTGOING, JOKING, HARDWORKING, INSENSITIVE, FOOLISHLY BRAVE Sootmask is a very flirtatious tom. He enjoys the company of she-cats, and finds entertainment in going after them and making them fall for him. Although he's not a vain cat, his pride does like it when the females fumble to make their stand against his constant flirting. Of course, this makes him a sort of insensitive character. Others' feelings, especially the girls he flirts with, honestly isn't the first thing to pop up in Soot's head. He often doesn't take into consideration what the effect of his flirtations would be. Sootmask is also an outgoing male, not just seeking out the companionship of a she-cat he happens to have his eyes on. He likes to be in large groups, and have friends and acquaintances to talk to. He's what you would call a social butterfly. Funny and always making jokes, Sootmask doesn't find it hard to get cats' attention drawn to him. Despite his flamboyant nature, Sootmask believes that things can only be achieved through hard work. He is very diligent and when given a task, works to the best of his ability and makes sure to deliver it as best he can. Once he sets his mind to something, it would be almost impossible to make Sootmask stop. This also somehow plays into his bravery. Sootmask fails to think before acting, preferring to jump into the situation head first. When someone is in trouble or if someone he's close to is in danger, Sootmask would immediately jump in to save them without a single thought of his own life. HISTORY Sootmask doesn't have a very colorful backstory. He was born in a litter of two boys, Sootkit and Bearkit, him being the younger of the two kittens. Their parents Vineleap and Waterpelt were both ThunderClan warriors, and Waterpelt soon retired and became an elder when Sootkit and Bearkit turned three moons. They were a rambunctious bunch, and nobody could ever separate the brothers. Soot was the troublesome brother with a lot of friends, and Bearkit was the more sensible, mature one. That didn't mean that he wasn't as playful as his younger brother though. By the time Sootkit and Bearkit became Sootpaw and Bearpaw, they had tons of friends in the Clan. Sootpaw doesn't remember the name of his mentor, but he remembers how he worked really hard to be a good apprentice. At around ten moons, Sootpaw's attention was drawn to the she-cats, and that was when he really began to flirt with them. Bearpaw would often have to drag Sootpaw by the ear away from them because he wouldn't stop. Sootpaw was obviously annoyed with his brother, but he loves him all the same. Now, Sootpaw is Sootmask, a popular warrior of ThunderClan. His interest in females didn't dissolve in his apprentice years, and even now he finds enjoyment in making them fall head over heels for him. Bearfang doesn't approve, and still sticks close to his idiotic younger brother in hopes that he would get some sense knocked into him. Bear actually hopes that Sootmask would find a she-cat that immediately turns him down, so that he would finally learn his lesson. |
