Description
tall brown tabby with mint-green eyes
Most cats would say that Jaggedhawk truly is a creature to behold, and maybe that would be true. He has a lithe, lanky body, with long legs meant to be swift. Don't let his spidery stature fool you, though. Strong muscles wrap around Jagged's whole physique, pulled tightly so that it doesn't make him look bulky or heavy. He can run as fast as a rabbit if he wants to, having such an asset. Although, brute strength doesn't play well for the tom. Agility would work more in his favor. His tail is long and thin, often used as a counterweight to keep him perfectly balanced whilst running or hunting.
Jaggedhawk's tall figure is covered in spiked, brown fur. It's short and thin, so it doesn't do well in Leafbare. Despite the ragged look that gives him his name, it's surprisingly soft to the touch. His coat is marked with jagged black stripes that run in a mackerel tabby pattern. His tail is ringed with the same tabby pattern, becoming thicker as it reaches the very base. The stripes decorate his fur, the markings coming together to form an intricate pattern of thin and thick lines that add depth to his brown pelt. The brown is then contrasted with a stark white, splashed on his chin, leading down his throat and chest. His paws are also dipped in white, and a small patch can be seen on his belly.
Finally, Jaggedhawk has quite define features. A pair of pointed ears rest on the top of his head, almost always moving. His head is finely shaped, tapering into a slightly rounded muzzle, a salmon nose the color of his paw-pads placed on the tip. Jagged's eyes are almond-shaped, and hold a striking mint-green color. He admits that it is his most distinguishing feature.
Personality
Observant, intelligent, adaptable, determined, immaculate & fiercely loyal, introverted, blunt, honest
First of all, Jaggedhawk is a very keen and intelligent feline. He likes to watch everything pass by him, and gain as much knowledge as he can wherever he goes. He analyzes everything and he takes the time to memorize every little detail about something or someone, and it has actually become a subconscious habit of his. Immaculate would be another term that would properly fit in Jaggedhawk's persona. Everything has to be perfect to the very finest detail, or else he has to start all over again. His perfectionism can be a negative trait as well; it deters him from moving on unless he finds it extremely correct and perfect. It doesn't have to be a big thing too. It can be as simple as keeping his unruly fur tamed (which he finds a constant struggle), or keeping his nest clean. Anything that he sees out of place gives him a ridiculously strong urge to correct.
Jaggedhawk is logical and practical, and only does things he deems fit in the current circumstances and would be in the best interest for himself and his clan. His sharp mind has also given him the skill of adapting quickly, whether it is switching his personality to appeal to other cats or be prepared for physical activities that are required of him. Jagged has made it a priority to have a good image within the clan, given that he is the deputy. He's determined to achieve that goal and many others he has planned since he was a fresh warrior. Once his mind is set on something, rarely does anything manage to stop him. It needs to be a heck of a good reason or else he won't cease to reach the end of his goal.
Jaggedhawk is loyal to his clan right down to his very essence. He would do anything for the sake of WindClan, even if it may cost him his life. Anything that may seem as a threat to his clan - his home - will face the surprising wrath of the tabby. His loyalty is so strong that it has become his strongest flaw. All of his thoughts about himself are immediately thrown out the window when things come down to whether saving himself or saving his clan. Future enemies or adversaries will most likely use this part of his character against him, and thus may lead to his downfall.
Despite his passionate thoughts regarding his clan, it's actually surprising how Jaggedhawk isn't as close to them as much as he wants to. He finds it sometimes a little hard to completely be himself around others; he is so used to being who everyone else wants him to be that Jagged sometimes loses the fact that he is his own person and not anyone else's. Because of this very reason, Jaggedhawk has grown to be a sort of introverted cat. He'll be kind and amiable to his clan-mates, but he won't exactly open up until he fully trusts them. It's not that Jagged doesn't trust his own home and his own colleagues, but he needs definite confirmation to let loose his true colors. And that's when he becomes more easy-going, joking, and generally a happier version of himself.
Jagged was gifted with a bright mind, and he uses it every day of his life. His logic and practicality is admirable. But with his intelligence comes a price, and that is his brutally honest way with words. Jaggedhawk finds it unnecessary to add in details that don't matter to the discussion he is currently having. He says what's on his mind and doesn't notice how it affects other's feelings until it's already been done. He tries not to be so blunt, but it's sadly in his nature. Although a good part of this is that Jaggedhawk is always honest, so he's a dependable, trustworthy cat to have as a friend or ally.
History
kit
Ferndapple and Coalfur's story was sweet and simple. They grew up together, became the best of friends, and were appointed warriors at the same time. Cats would tease them often, saying how they would most likely end up together at some point in their life because of how close they were. They knew each other like the backs of their paws. At first, they just waved it off and said they were merely best friends, but in the end, what they said was true. Coalfur asked Ferndapple to be his mate, and a few moons after that, Ferndapple was expecting kits. Both were over the moon with the news, and couldn't wait to finally have a family.
It was on a warm, Newleaf evening that the kits were born. There were two girls and a boy. One of them bore Coalfur's dark pelt, and the male possessed Ferndapple's brown tabby coat. The boy was named Jaggedkit for his tabby fur that stuck up every which way, and the girls were named Wildkit, for her squirming figure, and Ravenkit, for her dark coat. The kits all grew up fine. Wildkit and Ravenkit were close, with Jaggedkit following a few steps behind the two outgoing females. Out of the three, he had been the more introverted one.
apprentice
When Jaggedkit had become Jaggedpaw along with Wildpaw and Ravenpaw, he had gained Cloudfoot as his mentor. The old white tom was smart, and with his excellent training, allowed Jaggedpaw to unlock his hidden intellect too. The tabby was determined to be the best he could be, and he worked hard to achieve that goal. With all his hard work and constant training, Jaggedpaw didn't have much time to socialize, but when he did, he was a very easy-going, even joking kind of cat. He likes having stimulating conversations, and perhaps a good debate here and there. Of course, he didn't quite like it when his colleagues would do something dangerous and stupid, so he would refuse to go. Despite that, Jaggedpaw got along with quite a good amount of cats, though not as popular as his sisters.
warrior/deputy

[/tbody]
[/div]Then came the time when Jaggedpaw stood before the clan, on the day of his warrior ceremony. He listened with bated breath, awaiting for his new name. He was a warrior now, bestowed with the title Jaggedhawk, for his exceptional hunting skills. As it was called for tradition, Jaggedhawk sat in vigil for a whole night. Everything was going fine for Jagged. He had his warrior duties, he was busy, and he had friendly, stable relationships with his clan-mates. Moons later, WindClan's new leader probably saw how Jaggedhawk was so loyal and hardworking when it came to the Clan, and he was in for a surprise when he was appointed deputy. Now Jaggedhawk serves WindClan as the determined deputy.
