✘HISTORY
► sandheart - father ► willowlight - mother ► violetstem - adoptive mother ► mintrain - sister ► thymeheart - brother ► sageflare - brother ► finchwhisker - half-brother ► sparrowlight - half-sister |
►Willowlight was a flirt. She had a hard time staying committed to Adderstone, her mate at the time. She also promised never to have kits. She was against Adderstone soon after they became mates, but she couldn't bring herself to break his heart. He was spineless and reluctant. He was too safe for her.
Sandheart, however, was not safe at all. He was exciting and thrilling. He was also off limits, but Willowlight didn't care. She didn't care if he was a medicine cat, she loved to have fun with him. It was a very short period until she was carrying kits. Both cats were feeling guilty. Willowlight knew that she couldn't keep the kits, for both their sakes. She couldn't tell Sandheart her plan. He would be heartbroken, because despite his loyalties to the position, he was excited to have kits. Willowlight convinced everyone, including Adderstone that Adderstone was the father.
She had her kits just outside the territory. She hoped that some compassionate loner would take them, and lingered before leaving them defenseless. She returned to camp, distraught and crying. She said her kits had been stillborn. Sandheart didn't buy it. He was furious with Willowlight. He searched for the kits, easily honing in on their scent. There were four kits in all. He loved them from the moment he set eyes on them. But they were weak. They had been away from Willowlight for too long. Sanfheart transported the kits to camp, where he explained the truth behind Willowlight's 'stillborns'. The clan was more angry at Willowlight for leaving the kits than at Sandheart, who stepped down from his position. The kits made a full recovery. Sandheart forced Willowlight to nurse the kits, though he took care of them. Sandheart took good care of all of the kits in the nursery, and took on full duty of elder care, which pleased the apprentices just fine. Even though he broke the code, he remained a popular social figure throughout the clan. Eventually, he became mates with a queen named Violetstem. She had lost her kit and helped take care of his. Willowlight was jealous and unhappy. She left her kits, apologized to Adderstone and continued life as a warrior.
Out of the four kits in the litter, Tansykit was the shining star. She was sickly sweet to everyone older, but not to anyone her age. Everything was a competition. She was aggressive in fights. Her siblings often claimed she tried to hurt them on purpose, Tansykit denied it, but sometimes she did hurt them on purpose. Tansykit was the second to last kit. Mintkit was the oldest, and then Thymekit. Tansykit was older than only Sagekit. Tansykit had a relatively uneventful kithood. She was never confused by her father's relationship with her mother. She was closest to Thymekit, her brother, who had a more passive, peaceful personality. It never rubbed off, but he became one of her most trusted friends. Thymekit was the one who spurred the ideas of leadership. He always said she was the strongest of the siblings. She was not always the kindest, in fact, she was rather rude and blunt, but he recognized cunning and strength. She took it to heart. It became her personal goal. She told Thymekit this and he said he would support her, no matter what.
She was mentored by a young tom named Pinetail. He was not as skilled as others, but what her mentor didn't tell her, she learned through instinct. She also trained with Thymepaw, but he, even with a more experienced mentor, suffered in his battle skills. She was naturally gifted and vicious in her battle skills. Often she was scolded for cheating by Pinetail. She protested and many times told him how much she hated him and how much of a failure he was. Things were tense between them, but she was made a warrior with no issues, and given the name Tansyclaw.
As a warrior, she attracted the attention of a tom named Chestnutfur. He was handsome and charming, but a flirt like her mother. She had trust issues, but her youth and inexperience soon found herself in his enchantment. Every time she saw him, there was a flutter in her chest. He was too much like her mother. Thymeheart saw this. He tried to warn Tansyclaw, but she ignored him. She swore he was different. She had to trust him. For once, she saw a different goal. She saw a loving mate and beautiful kits and a family.
They were never mates. They were very close and seemed to love each other, but it was never official. Tansyclaw would have said something too him, but only moment before she caught him with another she-cat. He used the same enchanting words and had the same warm gleam in his eyes. Her heart shattered in her chest. She felt no sadness, only anger and fury. She snapped at Thymeheart, saying bitter and cruel things. He took them to heart. Their ties were severed and she missed him, but she was too proud to apologize.
She used this as a new motive, a whole new energy. If she couldn't have him, she would have the clan. She asked to mentor an apprentice, but was denied. She asked again a few moons later, insisting on training an apprentice. She was granted this and trained an apprentice, one of her half-siblings, named Finchpaw. He was bright, but quiet and reserved. She made it her goal to turn him into a warrior of the highest caliber. He saw both sides of Tansyclaw. He saw her compassionate, maternal side. He saw her cold, blunt, and forceful side. He respected her, but he saw that he was wrong not to fear her. He received the name Finchwhisker.
She was respected more and more as she aged. She gained her clan's trust. They knew of her skill and abilities. With patience and persistence, she was named deputy. Her career as deputy was short lived. A greencough epidemic swept through the clan. Some recovered, but others didn't. The leader's last like was taken. Tansystar was given a short and swift ceremony. So was Willowlight, Chestnutfur, and Adderstone. Thymeheart was sick too, but Tansystar never got to say goodbye. She cracked. Without Thymeheart's sensibility, she became aggressive and unstable. She pushed ShadowClan to show their strength, though it was a folly. She trained an apprentice.
She lost three of her lives early on, leaving her with six.
